After graduating with a PhD in Cell Biology, Dr Imme Gerke designed and led a project in biological pest management in Madagascar. She has since gone on to found a Biotechnology company in Quebec which registered its first product in 2000 (VIROSOFT CP4) in Canada and the US simultaneously. In 2002, Health Canada invited her to take on the role as Canadian Minor Use Advisor at the pest Management Regulatory Agency.
