Development Strategies for Biostimulants

4-week online course | 2 hours per week

Next intake begins 4 November 2019

Online Academy

Biostimulants contribute to sustainable high-output, low-input crop production by increasing a crop’s tolerance to diseases in adverse weather conditions and to the effects of abiotic stress. This can include  boosting yields and crop quality, improvement in nutrient uptake, stimulating a plants own defense mechanisms and increasing a plants ability to withstand environmental stresses. The biostimulant industry has witnessed considerable growth in recent years and is expected to continue this momentum to reach $2.8 billion by 2021. Learn the value of the industry and gain a comprehensive insight into its key trends and developments alongside the development strategies of different biostimulants.

Led by an industry expert you will progress through this 4-week course alongside your peers. The flexibility of the online academy format means you can gain valuable information from anywhere in the world on why innovating greener methods for crop development serves as one of the most important food solutions across the globe.

  • Gain an informed insight into the biostimulant market with its trends and challenges
  • Learn how to define biostimulants under EU and US regulatory requirements
  • Understand the different types of biostimulants and compare their primary modes of action
  • Evaluate the key techniques for formulating biostimulants and biofertilisers
  • Examine how to successfully compile a dossier for European submission

  • Regulatory

ATI online academies are perfect for busy professionals as they require just 2 hours per week of your time, and include an interactive forum for you to ask direct questions about challenges you are facing to expert course leaders.

Modules are released on a weekly basis so you can pace yourself alongside your peers and you will have access to a comprehensive set of assets to support your learning such as video content, quizzes and case studies.

I found the course very useful to have an overview of the biostimulants, what they are and their applications, the videos were also clear and easy to follow.
