Practical Analysis of Agrochemical Formulation

4-week online course | 2 hours per week

2021 Dates TBC

Online Academy

Formulation of agrochemicals is key to maximising the potential, longevity and revenues of the active ingredients. Agrochemicals are essential to the agricultural sector as they ensure farmers achieve healthy crop yields but there are many different types of formulation available on the market. As a professional working in formulation it is vital to understand the formulation types, how they are developed and manufactured, the regulations that govern them and green formulations.

Designed for professionals seeking to advance their formulation career, this unique online course will provide you with a detailed insight into key formulation types such as EC, EW, SC, WH, OD and seed treatment formulations. You will also explore the science behind bioavailability. Once completed you will have a deep understanding of each formulation type - you will assess the benefits and negatives, how each formulation is developed and examine the key ingredients in each. You will also learn how each type is manufactured and understand their key physico-chemical properties.

This course is ideal for delegates who have previously participated in ATI's A Beginner's Guide to Agrochemical Formulations. It is also suitable for professionals with a working knowledge of agrochemical formulation who wish to improve their knowledge of specific formulation types.

If you would like to start the course sooner than advertised simply get in contact with our training consultants by emailing [email protected] and we will arrange this for you as soon as possible.

Dr Michel Henriet is a consultant in formulation of agrochemicals for crop protection and non-agricultural pest control. Michel gained his PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and went on to work in a range of formulation R&D roles. Until 2012, he acted as a manager in formulation technology for Bayer CropScience AG. He is now the owner of his own consultancy, advising clients on product development, manufacturing and use of appropriate co-formulants to comply with regulatory requirements.
